Yeah, I agree, ultimately it's too cumbersome for users to drop in an individual file. Being able to just dump all various artist compilations in a directory is much less time consuming. I suppose if I have to move file structure, I'd rather move things under 'various' of some sort, thus my bias ;) Another point though, as we move closer to 5. While there is no real Compilation flag standard, there are 2 that I see used most. 1 is itunes compilation ITUNESCOMPILATION=1 and the other is straight up COMPILATION=1. Right now we are using ASNCOMP to define a compilation with in EJ, might it be worth starting to use just COMPILATION instead to define a compilation within a tag? This would work among MP3 tags and FLACs and others. In this way we can expand compatibility among taggers and should make it even easier for users to import their existing collections. What do you guys think?
