I was wondering if it was possible to adjust the volume level of songs automatically as they start. I've found software that will analyze audio files and make the changes to the files themselves, but the end result is almost always lower in quality than the original. So, my idea is to check the level of the song in the first couple of seconds and then adjust the volume of the application to meet a pre-determined level. If the song is too loud, the volume drops; too soft, the volume increases. This would eliminate both the need to directly manipulate files and manually adjust the volume. Perhaps this belongs in the "General" catagory, but it is a feature that would be great. As an alternative, if anyone knows of a winamp plug-in that already does this, or a program that can change the db of audio files without discernable loss, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks, Rich
