If you use the same drive letter and path for the files on the disk, that should work. I have a 120GB external hard drive and 80GB MP3 player which acts as an external hard drive. I keep the files synchronized between the two and make sure the path is the same. When I am out using the program, I use the MP3 player because it has its own battery, runs cooler and takes up less space. It works fine as long as I make the drive letter the same as the external hard drive I use at home.
